So your at 90k out and 2 volleys' are on the way to a ship that just poped. Would be a nice to have a skill that would redirect the missiles to the next target you have. Missile would be based on remaining flight time left. Each skill level would redirect 2 missiles.

Those Missles are Called F.O.F. Missles. Not necessarily. Quote:"Tactical Tomahawk" takes advantage of a loitering feature in the missile's flight path and allows commanders to redirect the missile to an alternative target, if required. It can be reprogrammed in-flight to attack predesignated targets with GPS coordinates stored in its memory or to any other GPS coordinates. Also, the missile can send data about its status back to the commander. It entered service with the US Navy in late 2004. So if you launched missiles with multiple targets acquired, and the primary blows up, with this theoretical skill the missiles could be reprogrammed mid-flight to attack the next target that was acquired pre-launch, and as OP said, until original flight time is expired.
Exactly like a Tomahawk. Missiles are the biggest ammo money sink in Eve when you think about it. At least drones you call back. Would be interesting how much wasted ISK there is with missile that just went into deep space.
Also FOF are nice but you can not tell them to what target you want to attack. With this you could tell it what target after main one is gone. |

Well ships put out way more carbon then missiles do so this skill makes total sense.
Spending less carbon to kill major carbon is win-win.
Fight carbon with carbon. |

So in Eve we can warp solar system to solar system, but we don't have the tech to make a missile fly to the next target we have selected? |

Ayame Tao wrote:How have you got 2 whole volleys heading to a ship that had a sliver of hull left?
Is your overview malfunctioning?
A ship 100k out pops. Yes many times I have had 2 volleys out in space. |

nat longshot wrote:ok let me get this right your crying about maybe 16 missile or less that dont hit there target because it when pop before they got there?
Us gunners have a % to hit and miss with every shot per gun and i can tell you i waste alot more them 16 rounds on a bs.
Missles are fire and forget deal with it this are not Tomahawk misslies if they were you would spend a hell of alot more isk for them.
the tech behind Tomahawk flight contral is alot more costly then the fire and forget missles you are using right now you want 5X the cost for missles that will track another target sure ccp do for them.
Why u so mad ?
If a missile has flight time left why not have the ability to have it hit another target? Whats it to you? Missiles cost a lot more then rounds if you did not know.
So put your matches away and go get a juice box. You seem to be low on blood sugar.

Abdiel Kavash wrote:It is a skill already. The skill is called "counting how many missiles you fired, how much HP your target has left, and switching to a different target when your current volley is enough to kill it".
No, you won't find it in the Missiles group. But it will still take a while to train.
Stop being a F00L.... this would be a great skill to have. |
